All accredited GDSNZ Garden Designers listed here have been through a rigorous accreditation process. They must also have passed a recognised course of study in garden design and been practicing for a minimum of three years before applying for accreditation. Continuing professional development is also a key element.

A further category of Fellow is an honorary title awarded only to elite members of the profession with a proven record of outstanding design.
