Rachael has a design ethos that centres around connecting with clients and designing part of their ‘home’. She believes that the ‘home’ is made up of equal parts: architecture, interiors and landscape. Each third reflecting different parts of the owners, and connecting together to create a functional place to live.

Rachael specialises in residential gardens with expertise in swimming pool design. She will lead clients through the entire landscaping journey from initial meetings, to the design process, the build stage and finally seeing clients exist within their ‘place’.

Having been a practising landscaper designer for many years, Rachael, has spent the last eight years in Auckland, designing a variety of different spaces, from jewel box courtyards, to an entertainer's dream with large swimming pools. Now based in Christchurch, she has started STUDIO WREN.

Rachael graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Landscape Architecture.
