Rachael’s design drive centres around connecting with clients and designing part of their ‘home’, rather than just seeing the garden as an independent entity. She believes that home is made up of equal parts: architecture, interiors and landscape. Each of these reflecting different parts of the owners, as well as holistically weaving together a collective atmosphere.

Rachael has been practising as a landscaper designer for many years. The last six years have been spent at Babylon Gardens, a small design and build firm in St Heliers. Babylon Gardens design & build a variety of different sizes and types of spaces. From jewel box courtyards, to an entertainers dream with large swimming pools.

She loves being part of the whole journey with clients. Starting with initial meetings, through the design process, the build stage and finally seeing clients exist within their ‘place’.

Rachael has been selected as a participating designer in the 2022 Auckland Garden DesignFest and will be ‘showing’ a garden for the first time.
