Renee is an award winning landscape architect and ecologist working in private practice and education. Renee has a passion for research and work relating to the blending of landscape architecture and ecology, with particular focus on living roof, urban ecology, parks planning and design and rural land-use.

Renee, a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects has been past president of the NZILA and is the current IFLA Delegate representing the NZILA on the world stage.

Renee's sole practitioner landscape architecture consultancy, Calyx Design, undertakes a range of select landscape architecture design projects ranging from regional planning and landscape assessment to open space, urban design and residential gardens.

Renee has extensive experience as a design judge for national and international design awards including the Hampton Court Flower Show, Ellerslie Flower Show, Landscaping NZ, Year of the Built Environment, IFLA APR and Resene NZILA Pride of Place awards.
