The GDSNZ Events team have arranged an exciting day trip on Waiheke Island including a visit to Sacred Blessing Sanctuary Garden & Sculpture Park, Oneroa, Waiheke Island and lunch and a guided tour of the gardens at Poderi Crisci Vineyard, Awaawaroa Road, Waiheke Island by Sue McLean - one of the co-designers of the gardens. The lunch menu is below..just in case you need further tempting!
Transport is being provided on Waiheke Island - you just have to get yourself there!
There are three ferry companies that operate services to and from Waiheke Island but Fullers 360 Ferries operate the best times for our day trip (and offer Gold card holders FREE ferry transport after 9am!).
Numbers are strictly limited to a maximum of 30 attendees.
Registrations close midnight 18th May, 2025.
Recommended ferry time is 10am departure from Auckland to arrive on island and meeting mini-van transport at Matiatia Ferry Terminal, Waiheke Island by 10:45am for an 11am departure for the day. Transport will have everybody back at Matiatia Ferry Terminal in time to catch a 4pm ferry back to Auckland.
30 CPD points for all GDSNZ Accredited members.
Fee for the day includes Sacred Blessing Sanctuary & Garden entry fee, guided tour of the gardens of Poderi Crisci Vineyard, set menu lunch at Poderi Crisci Vineyard Restaurant, Awaaroa Road, Waiheke Island and on-island transport; $115 per person (GDSNZ members) and $195 per person (non-GDSNZ members).
Ferry transport to/from Waiheke Island to be arranged and paid for individually. Gold Card holders get free ferry transport on Fullers 360 ferries after 9am.

10am depart Auckland Downtown Ferry Terminal by Ferry (Fullers 360 Ferries)
10:45am arrive Matiatia Ferry Terminal, Waiheke Island
11am mini-vans depart
11:30am Sacred Blessing Sanctuary Gardens
1pm Poderi Crisci vineyard - garden tour and lunch
4pm depart Waiheke Island by Ferry (Fullers 360 Ferries)
5pm arrive Auckland Downtown Ferry Terminal
