Te Tiriti workshop - Te Tai-awa o te Ora Trust

Our bi-cultural committee (Ian Henderson, Penny Cliffin, Antoinette van der Weerden and Jill Rice) have been looking at how our members in their practice can be more culturally aware, particularly in relation to Treaty issues and tangata whenua. As a society we now have our own kaihautu advisor - Alan Titchener to guide us on matters of tikanga, ways to proceed to improve our knowledge and practices, etc. You will have noticed his affect in how we start and end each of our events, lectures etc.  

We are proud to confirm that our first Tiriti workshop with Christine Herzog from Te Tai-awa o te Ora Trust will be on Saturday 13th August 2022, 9.00-11.00am via zoom for a maximum of 25 participants.

If you can't make this first workshop - don't worry. We hope to have future workshops, one of which may be at a marae, so that all our members have the opportunity for treaty training.
