About the Event

Amanda Warren: ‘Gift the Garden: Bringing permaculture design into mainstream urban households’ - a lecture

Landscape architect and permaculture designer / practitioner, Amanda Warren, is presenting on her permaculture diploma project ‘Gift the Garden’. Amanda’s home garden in St Heliers, Auckland - Pandeia Te Taiao (Garden for Wellbeing) was the first permaculture designed garden to be included in the Auckland Garden DesignFest and was one of the 2024 event's most visited gardens. Amanda also coaches and mentors other permaculture designers.

We are honoured to have Amanda Warren as our next guest speaker to entertain and inspire us.

Amanda is on a mission to bring more life and abundance to Aotearoa via our urban gardens. As a student of Permaculture, Landscape Architecture and Regenerative Practice, she blends all three practices together. With her clients at the heart, she is bringing into being living, breathing, productive and beautiful gardens.

With her background in construction she is actively using recyclable materials from the construction industry into her garden projects.

Amanda also founded the Eastern Bays Sustainable Garden Trail supported by the Orakei Local Board and Auckland East Community Network, which is now spreading across Tamaki Makaurau year by year.
