A guided garden walk followed by a Devonshire tea and a visit to the nursery and gift shop bursting wth plants and goodies to purchase. All monies go to School Start First Impressions charity.

The events team have arranged a private visit to the beautiful gardens of Addenbrooke in Bombay, Auckland on Saturday 17th October, 2026.
The visit will include a guided walk around the gardens followed by a delicious Devonshire tea (optional) and a visit to the shop (Puriri at Addenbrooke). Cost is $15 per person for the garden visit and an additional $15 for a Devonshire tea (*$3 additional for gluten free option) and all proceeds go to Sch
ool Start 1st Impressions, a New Zealand charity helping 5-year-olds start school with confidence and dignity.
Devonshire Tea option includes scones with jam and cream and a pot of tea.
The garden features a variety of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, magnolias, weeping cherries, crab apples and dogwoods plus much more.
During spring time there is an abundance of daffodils, tulips, freesias and hyacinths on display that bring the garden to life with their pop of colour. Plus, you can always count on there being a display of wild flowers somewhere in the garden.
Wander the attractive ‘thyme’ walk, where, depending on the season there are freesias, lilies, and roses all showing off their beauty and fragrance. This walk has been described as an 'Alice in Wonderland' setting, it has taken on a look and feel of its own, where the bees, butterflies and birds all gather. While wandering you may spot some interesting plant and flower pairings that subsequently work.

$15 GDSNZ members. No surcharge for non-members. $30 for Garden Visit + Devonshire Tea. $3 extra for Gluten Free option.
No number restriction. Registration essential by midnight Sunday 4th October for Devonshire Tea, Friday 16th October for Garden Visit only.
CPD points for GDSNZ accredited members.
Note - this event will happen rain or shine so please bring appropriate footwear for walking through gardens and across lawn. Lots of off-street and street parking available.
