GDSNZ members are invited to attend an informal information evening about the upcoming Professional Accreditation process offered by GDSNZ for 2025

About the Event
Open to all GDSNZ members, accreditation is an extra qualification/recognition which comes with a whole heap of benefits including exposure on the GDSNZ website as a practising designer or academic. Applicants are required to present a portfolio of four of their own projects chosen to cover aspects of garden design (note - a garden chosen for the Auckland Garden DesignFest qualifies as a project).
GDSNZ accreditation starts with this information evening, continues with the completion of an application form and payment of a fee, preparation of a portfolio, some mentoring sessions if required and ends with board interviews.

Each year, accredited members Glenys Yeoman and GDSNZ host this informal evening event to discuss the requirements with individual candidates.
Please come along, even if you've been before but maybe weren't quite ready, or if you're not sure if you are or will ever be ready but are curious. With a glass of wine in hand talk to Glenys and Ian about the process. You'll be able to pore over portfolios from previous successful candidates (now accredited members) and in this very informal, warm setting you can discuss your work and ask as many questions as you like. 2023 accredited member - Val Puxty, will also be on hand to talk about her own journey and give you some pointers and support. If you've already been along to an information evening or have thinking about accreditation, please bring along your ideas.
