Hi! I’m a co-founder of Botanic Landscape Architects, and have spent the past 25+ years
doing what I enjoy - designing gardens, public spaces, and landscapes that connect people
with nature.

For me, great landscape design is about more than just aesthetics. It’s about listening,
seeking to understand a place, its ecology, and the people who’ll use it. I try to bring together
design, horticulture, and environmental insight to create spaces that are not only beautiful,
but meaningful and enduring.

My journey began at Lincoln University and continued through hands-on experience at
Cambridge University Botanic Garden in the UK. Along the way, I’ve been lucky to have my
work recognised—including winning the Judges Supreme Award at the 2012 Ellerslie
International Flower Show, and receiving accolades from the New Zealand Institute of
Landscape Architects (NZILA) and Registered Master Landscapers NZ.

These days, I also contribute as lead assessor for the New Zealand Gardens Trust and have
judged for the Ellerslie Flower Show and for NZILA. It’s a privilege to be part of shaping our
landscapes—and sharing that journey with others.
