Margaret draws on 30 years of garden design experience and many more years of gardening experience, gaining valuable and practical knowledge of plants and their habitats. During that time she has taught garden design and drawing following her Diploma in Landscape Design at Unitec.

Her portfolio includes residential and country gardens, small urban courtyards, intense seasonal planting schemes, commercial sites and coastal properties. With each garden design, be it large, intimate, public or private, Margaret produces a unique design. With a sharp eye for analysing a site, an understanding of architecture and a keen interest in client needs while drawing out a brief, Margaret can develop a design through a collaborative process. By listening to clients and responding to architects, engineers and the specifics of the site, a design evolves with comprehensive knowledge and a deep understanding.

Her influences are broad and include related arts such as music and painting, sculpture and a love of the natural world so inspiration is gained through a vast wealth of experiences and rich travel adventures. New Zealand's natural diversity is a source of wonder and feeds her passion for plants and our environment.

Margaret's work has been recognised at Ellerslie Flower Shows where she gained both a bronze and a supreme award for her planting designs.
